Our Story

VertiYak comes from the heart of the RV industry in Elkhart, Indiana. As a Family who has always camped, a few years ago we incorporated kayaking into our outings. The problem was, we ran out of room on the truck. After several failed attempts with lumber and PVC pipe the Vertical Hitch Mount Kayak Rack was Born. During trips with what we now know as the VertiYak, we were often asked where we got it. It became obvious that there was a demand.

As we continued to refine and use the VertiYak, we realized it wasn't just a solution for us—it was a game-changer for anyone passionate about kayaking and outdoor adventures. As a small, family-owned business, we're proud to offer a product that's not only innovative but also American-made, reflecting our commitment to quality and support of local craftmanship.
